IP detection

For the Cloudflare-protected domain, the application uses the IP supplied by Cloudflare only when the request comes from validated Cloudflare networks. The separate IPv6 endpoint uses the direct connection.

GeoLite2 and updates

Country and provider data are resolved locally using MaxMind GeoLite2 Country and ASN databases. Automated updates run monthly.

Geolocation limits

An IP can identify a network and an approximate area, not a street address or GPS position.

Privacy

Values submitted to IP and DNS tools are not stored as search history. Temporary technical limits protect the service from abuse.
